150+ Sessions were submitted and voted on for MIX10 during the Open Call for Content. Topics submitted explore design, web development or business around building innovative web sites. Terms and Conditions
Microsoft will review your Proposal to determine if it is compatible with MIX10 event. If so, Microsoft will post your Proposal, along with other session proposals from other individuals, for voting by the general public. Voting will take place between January 5, 2010 and January 15, 2010.
Microsoft will invite the authors of the 10 proposals that receive the most votes to present the proposal at one session (a “Session”) at the MIX10 event. Microsoft will contact each of these individuals separately.
If you are selected to present a Session, Microsoft will pay for your admission to the MIX10 event and one hotel room* for the duration of your stay at the MIX10 event.
By submitting your Proposal to Microsoft you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
- You may submit more than one Proposal, and you may be selected to present more than one Session, but you are eligible to receive only one event admission and one hotel room.
- Microsoft reserves the right to reject your Proposal and remove it from consideration for a Session at MIX10 at any time, including but not limited to during or after voting, for any purpose, in its sole discretion.
- Solely as is necessary to post your Proposal for voting by the general public, you grant to Microsoft the right to modify and publicly display on the web your name, the session abstract given in your Proposal, and any additional details you provide in your Proposal.
- You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to submit the Proposal, to present your Proposal at the Session, and to grant all other rights given herein.
- You represent and warrant that you are not an employee of any local, state, or federal government body or agency.
- Proposals and Sessions will only be given individually; Microsoft will not consider joint Proposals for MIX10.
- If you are selected to present at a Session, you may be required to agree to additional terms in order to accept your hotel room and admission to MIX10. Your failure to accept the additional terms may disqualify you from presenting your Session at MIX10 and/or prevent you from receiving your hotel room and admission to MIX10.
- Microsoft reserves the right to change these terms at any time. You are encouraged to review these terms regularly. In the event that Microsoft changes these terms, your participation in the Open Call for Session Submissions Promotion will continue under the new, modified terms.
- You may withdraw your Proposal at any time by sending an email to mixprpsl@microsoft.com
- Your Proposal must include the following information in order to be considered by Microsoft:
- Session Title
- Speaker Name
- Speaker Email Address
- Session Abstract
- The following additional information would be helpful, but is not required:
- Speaker Company
- Twitter Handle
- Any Additional Notes on the Session
- Microsoft must receive all Proposals by noon P.S.T. on December 31, 2009.

*Microsoft will pay only for the cost of the room and tax for 3 nights. You will be responsible for any and all additional room charges including the mini-bar, room service, and all other associated fees and costs. You must pay airfare or associated travel costs to and from Las Vegas.
