Meanwhile Apple has announced the iSlate and it's most likely based on the iPhone platform, with multi-touch, OSX and AppStore... all these pieces are working today and have big consumer traction. WM is a long way behind, both technically and in customer mind-share.

  • so we will see some games and apps for WM7 ??

  • Really looking forward to this, there's a lot of catching up to do in the mobile world.

  • Weeeeeeehooooo ... NOW WE ARE TALKING !!!

The way to look at it people is that it's taken 2+ years to build out there mobile technology, and they built Silverlight in 3 years.

Thats along time for brilliant people to come up with game changing features.

    I'm expecting amazing things here!

Only a new Windows Mobile ,adapted to the new era of mobility with big screens and touch ,will bring Microsoft back in competition becouse now is faaaaaaaaar behind. For this they need an mobile OS with easy touch menu, well organized menu adapted to big mobile screens. If they bring Silverlight to the table (and they should;maybe entire WM 7 will be built with Silverlight) it is going to change mobile world.

Hi Iam krenisis windows mobile developer. I feel Microsoft should have given us developers a bigger head start by telling us what we need to develop for windows mobile 7. For windows mobile 6.1 the games I have made are freeware like Rexum,PhaserX,Space wars,Obama vs. bush , etc. Can I be on the mailing list for the lattest info please thank you.

  • Cool, I've already started developing a Mickey Mouse WP7 Silverlight App. (http://channel9.msdn.com/forums/Coffeehouse/534309-My-First-Windows-Mobile-7-App/) Hoping that the SDK will be made available ASAP outside of MIX and that you DONT NEED A WP7 PHONE!!!
